We have owned several remotes over the years that boast that they were the only remote you need. The "One For All SmartControl" is the first that really fits the bill.

My husband was historically the one who had to control the set-up for movies, music, DVR, and TV (I'm not very tech savvy). Dealing with six remotes and all of the combinations of settings was a nightmare to me. To this day, I do not understand all of the settings and possibilities when trying to watch a simple movie. When he bought universal remotes in the past, they would do some of the basic functions of the original remotes: volume, channels, DVD chapters, etc., but about half of the functions on the original remotes were left out or inaccessible. We still needed the originals.

The "One For All" changed all of that. It is truly the "One ring that rules them all". I seem to have complete control over all of the components with all of the functions of the originals. The instructions were a breeze, even for the most technologically challenged, like me. Three easy steps per device and you are done. This remote can automatically put you in control of the right devices for each activity. For example, push the movie icon button, and it will control the TV, DVD player, and stereo at the same time, without going from device to device. You can control three activities,--music, video, TV--and control up to six devices. It took me all of 10 minutes at the most to set up the entire audio and visual components of our home theater. The "All For One" even controls the Apple TV as well as our eight-year-old Onkyo receiver.

My husband was amazed at my new-found abilities when he came home. Of course I made it sound much more difficult than it was. : ) He and my daughter love the remote as it has made life much easier. We were forever searching for remotes after our daughter watched TV. No more using three remotes just to watch a movie, and the coffee table is free of all of the tech clutter.

For ease of use, device functionality, and convenience, I highly recommend the "All For One SmartControl" universal remote.
